Welcome to Master Builders ‘Think Before You Vote’ Campaign website!

The Master Builders Association of Victoria has embarked on this campaign to alert voters of the consequences of voting for the Greens at the 2010 Federal Election.

Our ultimate responsibility is to our members. Those members are the builders, tradespeople and hardworking construction industry folk who build our homes, schools, hospitals, roads and community infrastructure. Without them, our current lifestyle would not exist.

Our members are concerned that on Election Day many Australians will vote for the Greens without fully understanding the consequences this will have on our economy, infrastructure and ultimately; our way of life.

Master Builders is taking action because our members are worried about the future of the economy and the long term viability of their industry.

Our Campaign aims to alert Australians to the Consequences of Voting Green.

Five consequences of Greens' policies that all Australians need to consider on election day...

Housing affordability will reach crisis point
Availability of new land for housing will be restricted by Greens' policies. Fewer new properties combined with higher business taxes will make homes more expensive.

Jobs will be lost
Greens' policies will target construction, manufacturing and energy industries, making them less competitive. Job security for Australian workers will be put at risk.

Strikes and industrial thuggery will return
The Construction Industry watchdog, the ABCC, will be abolished. Building sites will be unprotected, exposed again to union bullies. Don't let the Greens take Australia back there.

Construction of vital community infrastructure will be halted
New school, hospital, road and workplace projects will be delayed and blocked by the Greens' proposed-planning policies. Our unique Australian lifestyle will suffer.
